German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius Introduces $2.27 Billion Plan for Advanced Missile System
Defense Minister Boris Pistorius proposed purchasing 600 advanced Taurus cruise missiles to strengthen the country’s military might, as reported by Der Spiegel weekly.
The project, estimated at €2.1 billion ($2.27 billion), highlights the strategic benefits of the new missile system, with the ministry seeking €350 million ($379 million) to start next year and deliveries expected by 2029.
The Taurus missiles, known for their precision and long range, are currently being modernized to enhance the capabilities of the German armed forces, with a range exceeding 500 kilometers and the ability to target various high-value objects.
