Finance Minister seeks to boost cooperation with USCC to attract more investments

Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk emphasized the Egyptian government’s focus on strengthening ties with the United States Chamber of Commerce (USCC) to attract more foreign direct investments and establish Egyptian-US partnerships to boost the private sector’s role in the economy.

Speaking at a USCC round-table meeting during the 2024 Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank Group in Washington, Kouchouk highlighted Egypt’s potential in various sectors and its commitment to creating a conducive environment for investors.

The minister outlined a comprehensive plan to increase private sector participation in the national economy, aiming to reduce investment costs, increase production, and drive economic growth. Kouchouk also mentioned collaboration with the Investment Ministry to minimize tax burdens and streamline fee collection processes.
