Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan discuss national space system for remote sensing

Exciting Developments in Space Technology: Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in Talks for National Space System

In a groundbreaking move, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are in discussions regarding the creation of a national space system for Earth remote sensing. This collaboration was initiated during the International Congress of Astronautics in Milan, Italy, where Uzbekcosmos shared important recommendations and proposals with Azerbaijan’s space agency, Azerkosmos.

Azercosmos, with its vision to become a key player in the global space industry, is actively participating in various research and development initiatives. The agency aims to establish a space ecosystem in Azerbaijan by engaging in major projects, collaborating with international partners, and leveraging local expertise.

As the successor to Azercosmos Open Joint Stock Company, Azercosmos, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, provides internet, television, satellite imaging, and geoinformation services using the telecommunication satellite Azerspace-1 and Earth Observation satellite Azersky.
