대통령실, 김건희 호화시설 의혹에 “사실 아냐…유감”

In Seoul, there have been allegations of luxury facilities at the presidential residence in Hannam-dong. However, the presidential office denied these claims, stating that the reports were completely false. They clarified that the facilities in question, such as the ‘3rd room’ and the dressing room, were not luxurious but rather preexisting features like a greenhouse and smaller-scale dressing rooms, with no sauna.

While the presidential office expressed regret over baseless claims and related reports, they emphasized that the presidential office and residence are classified as ‘A’ grade national security facilities under the National Security Act, limiting the disclosure of specific details.

The day before these allegations, legislator Lee Sung-yoon raised concerns during a parliamentary audit, suggesting the presence of luxurious amenities at the presidential residence, including a sauna and dressing room. The presidential office requested understanding for their inability to provide further details due to security protocols.

These denials come amidst public scrutiny and speculation over the true nature of the facilities within the presidential residence.
