UK sends crucial aid to Lebanese Army

The UK has provided vital support to the Lebanese Armed Forces, delivering over 12,500 ration packs and 79 battlefield medical kits. This assistance, funded by the UK’s Integrated Security Fund and delivered by the RAF, aims to bolster the capabilities of the LAF, crucial for the security and stability of Lebanon and the wider region.

Since 2009, the UK has been a key partner to the LAF, offering training, mentoring, and over £106 million in funding. The recent delivery of supplies is in direct response to a request from the LAF and underscores the UK’s commitment to supporting Lebanon’s legitimate armed forces and promoting peace in the region.

Furthermore, the UK has increased its humanitarian aid to Lebanon, providing an additional £10 million in response to the escalating crisis in the region. By matching public donations and advocating for a ceasefire, the UK government remains dedicated to promoting stability and peace in the Middle East.
