Trump ahead of Harris in US poll; economy top voter concern

Trump Leads Harris in Latest Polls Based on Economy

With the US presidential election looming, the latest polls reveal that former President Donald Trump is leading Vice President Kamala Harris in the race, with the economy emerging as a pivotal factor influencing voters’ decisions.

According to a recent CNBC All-America Economic Survey, Trump is ahead of Harris nationally by 48% to 46%, with a margin of error of 3.1%. In the key battleground states, Trump leads Harris by 48% to 47%, with a margin of error of 4%. The survey underscores that a significant number of voters prioritize the economy, with many trusting Trump more than Harris to steer it in the right direction.

An alarming 42% of voters believe they would be financially better off if Trump wins, compared to just 24% for Harris. Another poll conducted by The Financial Times also revealed that 44% of voters trust Trump more on economic issues, with 45% believing Trump would help them financially compared to 37% for Harris.

While RealClearPolitics shows Harris leading nationally by a slim margin, Trump is ahead by 0.9 points in the seven swing states. A recent Wall Street Journal survey further solidifies Trump’s lead, with him garnering 47% compared to Harris’s 45% nationally.
