Pakistan, Bangladesh to enhance bilateral relations

Key World Leaders Meet in Apia during CHOGM

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar engaged in high-level discussions with various leaders at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Apia, Samoa.

During the meeting with Md. Touhid Hossain of Bangladesh, historical ties between the nations were emphasized, paving the way for increased cooperation in trade, culture, and more. The revitalization of SAARC was also on the agenda.

Separately, discussions with the Prime Minister of Lesotho and the Foreign Minister of Ghana focused on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding collaboration in areas such as trade and education.

Deputy Prime Minister Dar’s election for the UN Security Council term 2025-2026 was celebrated by Ghana, further solidifying diplomatic ties between the countries.
