North Korean troops join Russia in war against Ukraine in Kursk Oblast

In the latest updates on October 24, North Korean troops have been deployed to the front line in Kursk Oblast to fight alongside Russian forces in the war against Ukraine. Approximately 12,000 troops have been sent by North Korea to Russia, with sightings recorded on October 23. These troops are undergoing training in various military training grounds in Eastern Russia under the supervision of Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-bek Yevkurov.

Meanwhile, the White House has stated that North Korean troops fighting for Russia in Ukraine would be considered fair targets. South Korea is also considering reviewing its ban on supplying lethal arms to Ukraine due to the involvement of North Korean troops in the conflict. Russian forces are attempting to establish crossings near the Oskil River to advance on Kupiansk, a strategically significant city in Kharkiv Oblast.

Furthermore, the Ukrainian military is contemplating the creation of a new cyber army branch to enhance its capabilities in cyberspace operations and defend against cyberattacks. This development comes in the wake of escalating military activities in the region.
