Nearly 20% of Lebanese population displaced by war – Yemen Press Agency

The ongoing war in Lebanon has displaced approximately one-fifth of the country’s population, leading to overcrowding in government shelters. The UNHCR spokesperson highlighted the dire situation, with over 430,000 people fleeing to Syria since the conflict began.

In response to Israeli airstrikes on border crossings between Lebanon and Syria, the UNHCR expressed concern over the lack of warning before the strikes, which landed dangerously close to a main border crossing.

As the crisis in Lebanon continues to escalate, the impact on innocent civilians is evident. The need for humanitarian aid and support from the international community is crucial in assisting those affected by the conflict.
