Lebanon info minister accuses Israel of war crime

Lebanon’s Information Minister Ziad Makary condemned the attack on a journalist compound in Hasbaya, south Lebanon, as an “assassination” and “war crime.” The attack resulted in the deaths of three media staffers from various organizations.

Among the casualties were Ghassan Najar and Mohammed Reda from Al-Mayadeen TV, as well as Wissam Qassem from Al-Manar TV. The deliberate targeting of journalists has sparked outrage, with Ghassan bin Jiddo of Al-Mayadeen blaming the Israeli occupation for the attack.

The Israeli military has not yet responded to inquiries regarding the airstrike. The incident has raised concerns about press freedom and the safety of journalists covering conflicts in the region.
