Jordan minister urges Blinken to halt ‘ethnic cleansing’ in Gaza.

Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi calls for international pressure to stop Israeli ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in London and expressed concerns about the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza due to alleged ethnic cleansing by Israel. Safadi urged for international intervention to halt this alleged ethnic cleansing.

Meanwhile, Blinken, after meeting with Lebanon’s Prime Minister in London, emphasized the urgent need for a diplomatic resolution to end Israel’s offensive in Lebanon. He stressed the importance of reaching an understanding on the disarmament of Hezbollah in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Despite the urgency to resolve the conflict, Blinken did not call for an immediate ceasefire but highlighted the need to protect civilians and Lebanese soldiers. The situation escalated as Israeli airstrikes targeted journalists in Lebanon, leading to condemnation from Lebanon’s Prime Minister.

As tensions continue to rise in the region, international pressure remains crucial to address the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and ensure the protection of civilians.
