Historic Ursus Brand Acquired by Ukrainian Space and Defense Company, Surprising Market Experts
The iconic Polish brand Ursus, known for its over 120 years of tradition, has been purchased by a Ukrainian company led by businessman Oleg Krot. The sale, finalized for 74 million złoty, represents just 60% of the brand’s estimated value. The buyer, M.I. Crow sp. z o.o., established in July 2024, specializes in space technology, aircraft, and military production.
Unexpected Space Ambitions
Headquartered in Warsaw, M.I. Crow shocked many by acquiring Ursus. Despite being a new player, their focus on space-related industries adds an intriguing twist to the deal. The company now owns production plants in Dobre Miasto and Lublin, along with other properties, trademarks, research documentation, and machinery from Ursus.
