In response to claims that Musk was willing to negotiate peace terms with Putin in exchange for Ukrainian neutrality, Musk clarified that he had only spoken with Putin once in early 2021, and the topic was limited to space. The interactions between Musk and Russia date back to early 2021 when Musk invited Putin to a Clubhouse chat.
