China to exempt Afghan export taxes from December – Bakhtar News Agency

Enhancing Economic Cooperation Between Afghanistan and China: A Step Towards Mutual Prosperity

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, recently met with Zhao Xing, the Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan, to discuss the favorable economic conditions in Afghanistan and the growing trade relationship between the two nations.

Ambassador Zhao Xing highlighted the significant growth in Afghanistan’s exports to China and announced the Chinese government’s decision to waive taxes on Afghan exports, aiming to boost trade and create more job opportunities. Plans for a new economic corridor through Tajikistan and the operationalization of the Wakhan Corridor were also discussed, with trilateral talks planned for further collaboration.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir expressed gratitude for China’s supportive measures and emphasized the strategic importance of the Wakhan Corridor in advancing trade and economic activities between the two countries. This partnership signifies a step towards mutual prosperity and stronger bilateral relations.
