Police Recover Pistol, 3 Bullets from Accused’s Rented Home in Baba Siddique Murder Case
NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Mumbai.
Police have recovered a pistol and three bullets from the rented house of Ram Kanoujia, one of the accused arrested for the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai.
Kanoujia, who was part of the group that provided firearms to the shooters, was staying in a rented home in the outskirts of Mumbai for the last one year.
The 43-year-old accused was arrested by Mumbai police, and so far, 14 persons, including two shooters, have been arrested in connection with the case.
During interrogation, more weapons were discovered, leading to the recovery of a pistol and three bullets from Kanoujia’s residence.
The investigation also involved extracting data from mobile phones and conducting raids in various places based on the information provided by the arrested accused.
Zeeshan Siddique, the late politician’s MLA-son, also provided a statement to the police as part of the ongoing investigation.
