Assault on Gaza’s Jabalia leaves hundreds dead and injured

Israel airstrikes on houses in the Jabalia refugee camp have resulted in at least 150 people killed or wounded, amidst a wave of mass expulsion in north Gaza, reports the Palestinian news agency Wafa. The conflict has also seen renewed strikes in other areas of the enclave, including Khan Younis where 28 people lost their lives in Israeli airstrikes.

Simultaneously, Israel has been carrying out a war on Lebanon, with an airstrike in the southern town of Hasbaiyya resulting in the deaths of three journalists from Al-Mayadeen and Al-Manar media outlets. Lebanon’s information minister condemned the attack as a “war crime”, revealing that 18 journalists from various media institutions were present at the time of the strike.

Since the beginning of the conflict, Israel’s aggression has led to 42,847 deaths and 100,544 injuries in Gaza, while Lebanon has seen a death toll of 2,593. The ongoing violence in the region has caused devastation and loss on a massive scale.
