News18 Network Pulse: India’s Verdict on Canada

According to a recent survey by News18 Network Pulse, 82.35% of respondents believe that Canada is turning a blind eye to Khalistani extremist activities, allowing them to promote violence and destabilize India. This survey reflects India’s perception of Canada’s actions.

The survey, conducted between October 21 and October 23, collected responses through personal interviews and an online questionnaire. A total of 4,254 responses were captured, with 2,436 retained after filtering for quality and relevance.

Respondents were also asked about Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s impact on relations with India and the Modi government’s handling of the issue. The survey aimed to gauge public opinion on the right of India to eliminate terrorists if foreign governments do not cooperate.

The strained ties between India and Canada escalated when Trudeau named an Indian High Commissioner as a person of interest in an investigation, leading to the expulsion of six Canadian diplomats from India.
