UN leader sends condolences for terror attack in Turkish capital

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his condolences to Türkiye after a terrorist attack targeted Turkish Aerospace Industries in Ankara. The attack resulted in four deaths and 14 injuries.

Guterres condemned the heinous attack and conveyed the UN’s solidarity with the people and government of Türkiye. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed the casualties and praised the security forces for neutralizing the terrorists.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya urged the public to rely on official sources for information. Security forces, firefighters, and paramedics were quick to respond to the incident, ensuring the safety of the area.

In response, Ankara prosecutors launched an investigation into the terrorist attack, as TAI personnel were directed to shelters for security reasons. The international community stands with Türkiye in condemning such acts of violence against civilians.
