Turkey’s air force retaliated by striking Kurdish militant targets in Iraq and Syria after an attack on a state-run defence company killed five people and injured more than 20.

The defence ministry reported over 30 targets were “destroyed” in the offensive, with precautions taken to avoid civilian casualties.
