Turkey eliminates 59 PKK militants in Iraq, Syria

47 terrorist sites targeted in Türkiye’s air operations in northern Iraq, Syria since Wednesday, 59 terrorists ‘neutralized,’ including 2 ringleaders, says National Defense Ministry

Turkish forces carried out airstrikes against 47 terrorist targets in northern Iraq and Syria, “neutralizing” 59 PKK and PKK/YPG terrorists, including two ringleaders, the National Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

In response to a terrorist attack on a Turkish Aerospace Industries headquarters, Türkiye launched air operations in northern Iraq and Syria, targeting 47 terrorist sites and neutralizing 59 terrorists, including two ringleaders, the ministry confirmed.

Following the attack on TAI headquarters, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported that two terrorists were neutralized, while five victims were killed and 22 injured.

The perpetrators were identified as members of the PKK terror group, Mine Sevjin Alcicek and Ali Orek, codenamed Rojger.

Türkiye’s National Defense Ministry announced that 47 terrorist sites were targeted in air operations in northern Iraq and Syria, resulting in the neutralization of 59 terrorists, including two ringleaders. The operations were a response to a terrorist attack on a Turkish Aerospace Industries headquarters in Ankara, where two terrorists were neutralized and several casualties were reported.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed that the attackers were identified as members of the PKK terror group. This swift action demonstrates Türkiye’s commitment to combatting terrorism and maintaining the security of its citizens and borders.
