Trains to Pause for One Hour

Smooth Sailing for Passengers as Trains Halt in Poland During Time Change

This weekend, Poland will switch from daylight saving time to standard time without causing any delays for passengers. Scheduled for October 26 to 27, 2024, the change will take place at 3:00 a.m. when clocks are turned back to 2:00 a.m. To ensure a seamless transition, 12 PKP Intercity trains will halt for an hour at the nearest station.

Travel Adjustments for Affected Trains

Trains like TLK Karkonosze and IC Przemyślanin will be affected by this temporary pause. Each train will stop at its scheduled station for an hour before continuing its journey. For example, the TLK Ustronie train will pause at Ciechanów, and IC Uznam will stop at Poznań as part of its route from Świnoujście to Warsaw.

No Delays, Thanks to Timetable Adjustments

Passengers need not worry about delays despite the hour-long pauses, as the timetable has been adjusted accordingly. The Polish government’s regulations from 2022 provide the basis for this smooth transition, ensuring passengers arrive at their final destinations on time.
