Tinubu Sends Seven Ministerial Picks to Senate for Approval

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stepped up the process of filling critical roles in his cabinet by forwarding the names of seven ministerial nominees to the Senate. The nominees include individuals like Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi for Labour and Employment, and Bianca Odinaka Odumegu-Ojukwu for State Foreign Affairs.

In a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of swift confirmation for these nominees. The Senate wasted no time and referred the request to the Committee of the Whole for prompt consideration.

With the request arriving on the Senate’s last sitting day of the week, it is likely that the screening process for the nominees will begin next Wednesday after receiving the necessary documents. President Tinubu’s proactive approach in selecting competent individuals for key ministerial positions highlights his commitment to effective governance and service delivery.
