The Iranian Foreign Ministry Condemns Deadly Terrorist Attack on Turkish Defense Firm

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack on a Turkish defense firm near Ankara, calling for global efforts to eliminate terrorism. The attack at Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) resulted in five deaths and multiple injuries, with the Turkish government blaming Kurdish militant groups.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, expressed condolences to the victims’ families and the Turkish government while condemning terrorism in all forms. Baghaei emphasized the importance of international cooperation to combat terrorism and prevent such tragic incidents.

The Turkish Interior Minister confirmed the neutralization of the attackers and the launch of an investigation by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. The PKK, a banned terrorist group, is suspected to be behind the attack in their quest for autonomy.

The long-standing conflict between Turkey and the PKK has claimed thousands of lives, underscoring the urgent need for comprehensive measures to address terrorism and promote peace in the region.
