Spain Halts Arms Agreements with Israel

The Spanish Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, has announced that Madrid has frozen all arms agreements with Israel, including both purchasing and selling weapons.

While some agreements initiated before the Gaza War are still ongoing, Spain officially halted arms agreements with Israel on October 7 of the previous year, as reported by the Spanish newspaper “El Pais.”

Robles stated that the government has suspended all contracts for Israeli weapons, with only spare parts being contracted last year, which are still in effect.

Minister of Social Rights, Pablo Bustendo, urged the suspension of any current arms sales contracts with Israeli companies, but the Ministry of Defense clarified that all arms agreements with Israel were put on hold since October 7 last year.
