Ondo Assembly approves N96b 2024 supplementary budget

Exciting Updates on Ondo and Ogun State Developmental Projects

The Ondo State House of Assembly has approved a N96 billion 2024 supplementary budget, increasing the initial budget to N487 billion. Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa cited the effects of petrol subsidy removal and the need to implement a N73,000 minimum wage as reasons for the increase. The revised budget aims to support rapid development in the state.

Meanwhile, in Ogun State, Governor Dapo Abiodun ensured equal distribution of developmental projects across all senatorial districts in the 2025-2027 MTEF and 2025 budget. Major road reconstructions and rural road constructions are already underway, demonstrating the commitment of the administration to infrastructure development.

Stakeholders, including traditional rulers and trade unions, have commended both governments for their transparent approach in soliciting input from the public for budget allocations. The town hall meetings have proven effective in engaging the community in the decision-making process for a brighter future.
