Gaza Strip Civil Defense Deputy Director Martyred in Israeli Strike

The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip announced the tragic news of the martyrdom of its deputy director in the northern sector, Mohammed Abdul Hai Morsi, due to an Israeli strike on his family home. This incident brings the total number of Civil Defense personnel killed since October 7 to 83, with over 200 injured.

The spokesman for the Civil Defense, Mahmoud Basal, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Morsi and highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by the rescue teams in terms of equipment and resources. Despite the difficult circumstances, they remain dedicated to protecting lives and property in the region.

Since the start of the devastating war launched by Israel with the support of the United States on October 7, 2023, the Gaza Strip has witnessed over 135,000 Palestinian casualties, including many children and women. The situation has led to widespread destruction and a severe famine, with more than 10,000 individuals reported missing.
