Sevil Mikayilova, a Member of the Azerbaijani Parliament, criticized the European Parliament’s biased resolution on October 24, dismissing it as political cynicism and double standards. Mikayilova condemned the baseless accusations against Azerbaijan while showing clear support for Armenia. She emphasized the lack of objectivity and the one-sided nature of the resolution, highlighting the European Parliament’s pro-Armenian bias.
Mikayilova called out the influence of pro-Armenian parliamentarians in the European Parliament and criticized the politicization of certain issues, such as the conflict in Karabakh. She refuted claims of “ethnic cleansing” and underscored Azerbaijan’s efforts to preserve cultural heritage and promote peace.
Instead of focusing on the Armenian agenda, Mikayilova urged the European Parliament to address more urgent issues like energy security, the migration crisis, economic development, and combating discrimination. She emphasized the need for a responsible and constructive approach rather than empty politicking.
