EXCLUSIVE — Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) is calling for an investigation into Vice President Kamala Harris for potential violations of the Hatch Act following her comments at a recent press conference in Washington, D.C.
Mills penned a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, alleging that Harris may have used official resources to support partisan attacks against former President Donald Trump, which could breach the Hatch Act prohibiting such behavior.
The Florida congressman specifically cited Harris’s remarks targeting Trump’s desire for power and referencing the American people in her speech. The press conference, held at the vice president’s residence, was in response to a report from the Atlantic regarding Trump allegedly admiring military leaders such as Adolf Hitler.
Mills emphasized the importance of upholding federal law that criminalizes the use of official authority to influence elections. He urged Garland to investigate the incident promptly, highlighting the need for accountability and adherence to the law.
