Lagos LG distributes N20m to 2,000 Epe residents

Ms. Surah Animashahun, the Chairman of Epe Local Government Area in Lagos State, distributed N20 million in cash relief to 2,000 residents to offer support during economic challenges. The Vice-Chairman, Mr. Sikiru Owolomoshe, disbursed the funds at the council’s secretariat, aiming to alleviate financial strain on the most vulnerable in the community.

This initiative marked the eighth edition, highlighting the council’s commitment to the welfare of the community. The beneficiaries, including artisans, the elderly, traders, transport workers, youths, and individuals with disabilities, expressed gratitude for the kind gesture. The All Progressives Congress (APC) Party Chairman in Epe commended the proactive approach, emphasizing the importance of leaders’ efforts and community support.

The recipients appreciated the support and expressed how the cash relief has positively impacted their lives during harsh economic times. Through these actions, the council aimed to show compassion and care for its residents, encouraging a culture of appreciation and constructive feedback for community development.
