Kazakhstan and Türkiye Sign Deal for Drone and Ammo Production

In a groundbreaking move, Kazakhstan and Türkiye have come together to develop a roadmap for producing tactical drones and operational-level loitering munitions within Kazakhstan. This exciting partnership was solidified during a visit to Istanbul by Kazakhstan’s Defense Minister, Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksylykov, at the prestigious SAHA EXPO-2024.

The exhibition served as a platform for showcasing cutting-edge military technologies from around the world, including automated control systems, robotics, air defense infrastructure, and electronic warfare tools. Of particular interest were unmanned aerial vehicles, precision weaponry, laser technology, and optical-electronic equipment.

During his visit, General Zhaksylykov engaged in fruitful discussions with various Turkish officials and industry leaders, ultimately reaching agreements with CEO Haluk Bayraktar of Baykar Defence on the production of Turkish drones and munitions in Kazakhstan.
