ISPR: High-value target and 8 other terrorists killed in Bajaur IBO

Security Forces Kill High-Value Militant Target in Bajaur IBO

During an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Bajaur district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces eliminated nine militants, including a high-value target. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the successful operation, which resulted in the death of the militants, including two suicide bombers and a key militant leader named Said Muhammad alias Qureshi Ustad.

Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the militants, who were actively involved in carrying out terrorist activities against security forces and civilians. A sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area.

The government has recently designated the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as Fitna al Khawarij, emphasizing the fight against terrorism. The country has seen an increase in attacks on security forces, with TTP reneging on a ceasefire in 2022. Earlier this month, successful IBOs in North Waziristan resulted in the killing of two terrorists, while encounters in Waziristan led to the martyrdom of six soldiers and the death of 12 terrorists.

The security forces continue their efforts to eradicate terrorism and ensure the safety of the nation.
