Iran Urges Committee to Investigate Israeli Apartheid

Iran Press/Europe: The Iranian delegation in Geneva has submitted a formal request to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to investigate the apartheid crimes committed by the Israeli regime in occupied Palestine. This request follows the passing of a resolution by the UN General Assembly addressing the legal consequences of Israeli policies in Palestine.

The evidence presented by Iran includes the discriminatory legal system implemented by Israel, where Jewish settlers receive special privileges while Palestinians are subject to harsh military laws. The delegation highlights the seizure of Palestinian lands, the exploitation of water resources, and the denial of construction permits as examples of apartheid practices.

Iran emphasizes that these actions violate the International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid. By urging international scrutiny and accountability for Israel’s discriminatory policies, the Islamic Republic aims to end the apartheid regime in Palestine. The delegation calls for justice and human rights for all affected by these violations.
