Iran, Armenia Leaders Meet to Discuss Regional Ties

During his visit to Russia, Masoud Pezeshkian met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to strengthen relations between Iran and its neighboring countries. Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s commitment to regional partnerships and praised Armenia as a good friend to the Islamic Republic. He also expressed support for regional unions like BRICS, which aim to counter US and Western authoritarianism.

Pezeshkian condemned the unwavering support of the US and Western countries for Israel, labeling it unjustifiable. He criticized their silence on Israeli atrocities and emphasized that this support only fuels regional tensions. Despite provocations from Israel, Iran chose restraint to achieve a ceasefire, revealing Israel’s lack of respect for human rights.

Nikol Pashinyan reiterated Armenia’s commitment to strengthening its ties with Iran, recognizing Iran as a vital ally and emphasizing economic and trade cooperation in sectors like energy.
