Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) Targeted in Deadly Attack

One of Turkey’s leading defense industry institutions, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS), was the site of a deadly attack that claimed the lives of at least five individuals and injured 22. The assault occurred shortly after a nationalist leader hinted at a potential peace process with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

Key Details of the Attack

The attack took place at the TUSAS headquarters in Kahramankazan, near Ankara. Security footage revealed armed assailants entering the compound, sparking explosions and gunfire. While the PKK is suspected of carrying out the attack, no group has claimed responsibility.

Victims and Response

Among the victims were employees of TUSAS, a security guard, and a taxi driver. Turkish authorities neutralized two attackers and deployed special forces to secure the area. The Turkish government and international community have condemned the attack.
