17 killed in Gaza as Israeli forces target school-shelter in Nuseirat | Gaza News

Israeli forces launched a deadly strike on a school in central Gaza, killing at least 17 people, including women and children. The attack on Nuseirat refugee camp left 42 others wounded, with an 11-month-old baby among the victims.

As violence escalated, medical facilities in Gaza reported receiving a high number of casualties, with 13 children and three women among the dead. The situation is dire, with over 770 Palestinians killed and 1,000 wounded in the 20-day assault.

Siege Continues

The ongoing Israeli siege has left over 400,000 people trapped in northern Gaza, facing severe shortages of supplies and medical staff. Hospitals, including the Kamal Adwan Hospital, have been directly targeted, causing significant damage and limiting access to essential care.

Civil defence operations have been suspended in the north, leaving residents without emergency services. The US and Qatar have announced plans to resume ceasefire negotiations, as the conflict continues to devastate Gaza’s infrastructure and population.

Despite international efforts, the situation in Gaza remains critical, with thousands dead, missing, or trapped under rubble. The resumption of ceasefire talks offers a glimmer of hope for the besieged enclave.
