1 out of 4 female candidates experience sexual harassment during campaigns

Welcome to our Blog!

In Sunday’s Lower House election, a historic 314 women ran for office. Despite this progress, the issue of harassment remains a major barrier to women’s full participation in politics. This unfortunate reality underscores the ongoing challenges that women face in breaking into the male-dominated world of politics.

While it is heartening to see more women stepping up to run for office, it is clear that systemic issues such as harassment must be addressed in order to truly level the playing field. Without tackling these issues head-on, we will continue to see women facing obstacles that their male counterparts do not.

As we celebrate the strides that have been made towards gender equality in politics, let us also remember the work that still needs to be done. By amplifying the voices of women and advocating for a more inclusive political landscape, we can work towards a future where all individuals, regardless of gender, can participate fully in the democratic process.
