In a recent parliamentary defense audit, Minister of Defense Kim Yong-Hyun clashed with opposition lawmakers regarding the relocation of the presidential office to Yongsan, stating, “You’re asking questions without any knowledge.” The exchange led to heated discussions between the ruling and opposition parties. This incident comes after Minister Kim sparked controversy during a defense audit on October 8 for making derogatory remarks about disabled individuals.

During the comprehensive audit on the same day, Minister Kim responded sharply to queries about the Yongsan relocation from opposition lawmaker Park Beom-Gye, highlighting the Planning and Administrative Affairs Ministry’s responsibilities. The opposition criticized Minister Kim’s lack of awareness, with lawmaker Park sarcastically commenting, “You don’t know A, B, or C?” The session also saw disputes over the responsibility of the current administration in handling North Korea-Russia relations.

Despite conflicting views, the parliamentary audit provided insight into various national security issues. The exchanges between lawmakers underscored the importance of accountability and transparency in government operations.
