Unprecedented arrest campaigns in northern Gaza by Israel

Israeli Occupation Forces Continue Arrest Campaign in Gaza

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) has reported that the Israeli occupation forces have been conducting widespread arrest campaigns in the northern Gaza Strip for the past 19 days. These arrests are part of an ongoing war of extermination that has been happening for over a year.

According to a statement by the PPS quoted by WAFA, hundreds of prisoners from Gaza are currently being held in Israeli prisons, where they face torture, abuse, and humiliation. Some have even been martyred, with their identities not disclosed by the occupation. Despite calls from human rights institutions and the Palestinian people in Gaza, the international community remains silent on these atrocities.

Since the war began on October 7, 2023, thousands of people from different parts of Gaza, including women, children, and medical staff, have been arrested by the occupation forces. The prisoners face enforced disappearance, with their identities and locations kept secret, and the International Committee of the Red Cross has been denied access to visit them.

Despite the ongoing violations of international laws and resolutions, the Israeli occupation continues its crimes unchecked.
