Nine of these seats fell vacant after its MLAs were elected as MPs in the Lok Sabha polls
Samajwadi chief Akhilesh Yadav announced that INDIA bloc candidates will contest on his party’s ‘cycle’ symbol in all nine seats in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh bypolls. The alliance between Congress and Samajwadi Party aims for a decisive victory to safeguard the constitution and national harmony.
Akhilesh Yadav emphasized the unity and strength of the ‘INDIA alliance’ and urged voters to ensure every vote counts towards this historic collaboration. The bypolls will take place in 10 assembly seats, with the polling scheduled for November 13.
While nine seats became vacant due to MLAs winning Lok Sabha seats, the Sisamau seat is up for bypolls following the disqualification of SP MLA Irfan Solanki. The Election Commission has confirmed elections for nine of these seats, with Uttar Pradesh gearing up for a crucial electoral showdown.
