In the heart of war-torn Beirut, Maya Terro and her team of volunteers from Foodblessed are navigating the daily struggles of delivering supplies to those displaced by conflict. With a quarter of Lebanon’s population under evacuation orders and close to a million people displaced, the country is in crisis with no end in sight.
As the government remains bankrupt and unable to provide for its citizens, Maya and her team are risking their lives to fill in the gaps. Driving through roads vulnerable to air strikes, Maya admits the dangers they face daily. The uncertainty of whether they will make it back home is a reality they live with.
Despite the risks, Maya and her team continue their mission to provide food and support to those in need. Their dedication and bravery in the face of danger are a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Their story is one of hope and selflessness in the midst of chaos.
