Report: Senior Pentagon official leaked Israel’s Iran strike plans

Leaked Classified Documents Revealed Israeli Plans for Attack on Iran

A senior staffer in the office of Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has been identified as the leaker of classified documents detailing Israeli preparations for an attack on Iran. While Sky News Arabic reported the leak, Fox News disputed the claim, stating the staffer remains at work with security clearance.

The suspected staffer, Ariane Tabatabai, an Iranian American working as the Bureau Chief to Austin’s aid for special operations, had access to highly classified information. The FBI is investigating the leak that appeared on a telegram channel, causing deep concern among officials in Washington.

The leaked documents, attributed to the U.S. Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency, reveal Israel’s military asset movements in response to Iran’s ballistic missile attack. Although the leak poses some discomfort in U.S.-Israeli relations, Israeli officials expect the perpetrator to be found and prosecuted.

Despite the betrayal of trust, Israeli officials do not plan to withhold information from American counterparts, emphasizing the importance of maintaining strong alliances.
