Enhancing Police Training: New Curriculum for Nigeria Police Force Recruits

The Nigeria Police Force is taking a proactive step towards enhancing the professionalism and operational effectiveness of its recruits. Under the leadership of Inspector-General Kayode Egbetokun, a new training curriculum has been approved covering a wide range of essential topics.

The recruits will now undergo training on subjects such as sex education, anti-corruption laws, gender-based crimes, and election security. Other topics include public relations, cybercrime, combat skills, and artificial intelligence. The aim is to equip the recruits with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively police Nigeria in alignment with international best practices.

This revised curriculum also includes training on the Police Act 2020, social media policy, computer studies, gender mainstreaming, and education. The focus is on intellectual and capacity building within the force to ensure officers are well-trained and equipped to meet the demands of modern policing.

By addressing critical areas of training, the Nigeria Police Force is committed to continuous improvement and ensuring its officers are prepared to serve the community with professionalism and integrity.
