Exciting news for civil servants in Kebbi State as Governor Nasir Idris approves a new minimum wage of 75,000 naira. The decision was confirmed by Murtala Usman, the chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress in the state.
After considering various proposals, Governor Idris chose to go with the highest option of 75,000 naira, demonstrating his support for the workers. He also promised that the increased salaries would be effective starting this month, with payments to be made within 72 hours.
On a related note, the labour union in Sokoto is urging the state government to quickly implement the new minimum wage as well.
