General Esmail Qaani’s visit to the Hamas office in Tehran on Wednesday morning was a significant event, showcasing solidarity between Iran and Hamas. The visit was marked by Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf also expressing his condolences on the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar in Gaza.
Yahya Sinwar’s death in combat with the Israeli military on October 16 added to the list of Hamas leaders and commanders assassinated by Israeli forces. Sinwar had taken on the role of leader on August 6, succeeding Ismail Haniyeh who was also assassinated in Tehran on July 31.
