Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a warning that any Israeli aggression towards Iran will be met with a proportional response. He made this statement during a visit to the Hamas office in Tehran, where he honored Yahya Sinwar, a leader of the Palestinian resistance group who was killed in combat with Israeli forces in Gaza.
Amid escalating tensions, Israel has been conducting a brutal two-front assault resulting in thousands of casualties. Pezeshkian criticized the hypocrisy of certain powers who claim to advocate for human rights while supporting Israel’s crimes against humanity.
He emphasized the importance of establishing justice to end conflicts rather than resorting to violence. Pezeshkian then departed for the BRICS summit in Russia, where he highlighted Iran’s potential to strengthen global relations and counter US totalitarianism.
Iran recently joined the BRICS group, expanding its membership to include Egypt, the UAE, and Ethiopia. This coalition of fast-developing economies aims to challenge Western dominance and promote a more balanced global economic and political landscape.
