Hezbollah Downs Israeli Drone in Lebanon

Breaking news: Hezbollah successfully shot down an Israeli drone over Jibchit, Lebanon, causing the aircraft to catch fire. This comes amidst escalating tensions between the Lebanese group and Israel.

Hezbollah’s air defense units used a surface-to-air missile to take down the Israeli Hermes 450 drone. Additionally, the group launched rockets at the She’ar Yashuv settlement in Israel and targeted two Israeli tanks with guided missiles near Misgav Am and Taybeh in southern Lebanon. Both tanks were destroyed, with the crews reportedly killed.

Israel has confirmed the crash of one of its drones in southern Lebanon, further fueling the conflict. Since September 23, Israel has conducted a series of airstrikes in Lebanon, claiming to target Hezbollah. The cross-border war, which began a year ago, has resulted in over 2,540 deaths and over 11,800 injuries as per Lebanese health officials.

On October 1, Israel intensified the conflict with a ground attack on southern Lebanon. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to engage in military actions.
