Government seeks to boost private sector funding for national projects.

Planning and International Cooperation Minister Rania Mashat emphasized the significance of human development as a crucial element in economic growth. She stressed the importance of addressing the widening gap in financing, particularly in developing countries.

Speaking at the Global Congress on Population, Health and Human Development, Mashat highlighted the challenges faced by developing countries and the role of international organizations in bridging the financing gap. Egypt, she noted, allocates a significant portion of its budget to key sectors like health and education.

Mashat also mentioned the various development projects undertaken by Egypt, including Takaful and Karam initiatives. The government is actively seeking private sector participation in national projects and collaborating with international organizations on key development areas such as education and health.

The Decent Life project, aimed at improving conditions in deprived areas, has successfully extended essential services to many villages. Additionally, a nutrition program for school children in partnership with the World Food Program is also underway.

Mashat emphasized the necessity of building strong partnerships at local and international levels to ensure sustainable development and economic progress.
