German and British Defense Ministers to Sign New Agreement
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius is set to visit London to sign a new defense agreement with British Defense Secretary John Healey. Healey described the agreement as a significant step in bolstering Europe’s security and praised the cooperation in commercial areas like weapons production. The deal includes plans for a new artillery factory in Britain and the deployment of German surveillance aircraft in Scotland.

The agreement symbolizes Britain’s shift towards Europe under Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s leadership, following the country’s exit from the EU. The accord could pave the way for increased integration between major European military powers like France, Germany, and the UK.
