Emergency Services Halted in Northern Gaza After Targeting by Israeli Forces

Gaza’s Civil Defense announced the suspension of its operations in northern Gaza after Israeli forces arrested five personnel and targeted three others, including destroying the only fire engine in the region. The agency described the situation as “catastrophic,” leaving residents without essential services.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested five staff members in the Sheikh Zayed area and destroyed the fire truck with shells. Three personnel were hit by an Israeli drone, and their fate remains unknown. This comes after a bombing campaign in Jabalia led to a ground incursion aimed at preventing Hamas operations.

The brutal offensive has killed nearly 42,800 people, mostly women and children, with over 100,400 injured. The population of Gaza has been displaced amid severe shortages of food, water, and medicine. Israel is facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the region.
