The movie quickly gained popularity and became the top film on Netflix after its release on October 18.

Anna Kendrick shared her emotions about directing the film, expressing her focus on the teamwork rather than her personal achievements.

She mentioned that directing ‘Woman of the Hour’ pushed her to be more vulnerable than writing her own memoir.

In her own words, “Every moment of the movie is kind of a reflection of my own terror. I don’t think it’s an accident that I responded to this script at a time when I’d just been through something really devastating and traumatic and that really changed my worldview.”

‘Woman of the Hour’ delves into the true-crime world, following Sheryl (played by Kendrick), an aspiring actress entangled with a serial killer on a dating show, shedding light on misogyny in the 70s and the tragic fates of the killer’s victims.
